Lesson Learned - Sugar

I had been contemplating a post about how my bad sugar-eating weekend has really done me in, and then I found this post from Peak313 Fitness blog, and seriously she said everything I was going to say!


Except my downfall was with some pumpkin spice cookies with cream cheese frosting...

and some delicious white bread masquerading as wheat-ish...and potato chips.

And some fudge leftover from small group on Sunday.

It's been a long time since I've woken up with a sugar headache and the carb overload blahs. Believe me when I say that over indulging on sweets and junk food with the rationale that "it's only a few ____, it won't be that bad," does not feel worth it once you've eaten it!

It happens to everyone, and I'm sure it will happen to me again at some point. After all, sometimes a situation comes up where literally the only food available is processed junk and feeling sick because you didn't eat anything isn't a good thing either.

Then again there are times when you're faced with the temptation to have four pumpkin spice cookies, and you probably should just say no because no one's making you eat those cookies!
