Thankfulness Take 2

November 9 : I'm thankful for... fun boots and scarves and sweaters that have so far prolonged me from having to drag out my winter coats. I'm very resistant to winter. Not resiliant. Resistant.

November 10 : I'm thankful for... great Bible teaching on the radio during my drives to and from work. I am consistently in the car driving to work between 7:30 - 8:00am most days, and let's just say I'm not really in the mood for anything too loud or obnoxious at that time of day. But I have been so blessed by the ministries of Chuck Swindoll, Adrian Rogers, and other pastors and teachers over the last several months.

As I discovered a few months back that Chuck Swindoll was preaching through the Old Testament, I was amazed to find out that his sermons series coincided TO THE DAY with my read-the-Bible-in-a-year plan. That sermon series brought life and meaning to many difficult Old Testament passages. I was, and still am, thankful for God sending something alongside me to help me persevere and wade through His word.

November 11 : Seeing as it's Veteran's Day, I'm thankful for... the freedom that has been purchased for me. Jesus' died so that I would have eternal life and forgiveness of sins and a relationship with Him. Thousands of others have sacrificed their lives so that I would get to live in a free country. I'm thankful for the men and women who serve this country and keep us safe.
